Cult musical Little Shop of Horrors returns to the Oxford Playhouse this week, brought to us this time by The Basement Theatre Company, writes Chris Gray.
Unlikely hero Seymour, a downtrodden flower shop assistant, is hopelessly in love with shop-girl Audrey, but has spent his life on Skid Row. One day he buys a 'strange and interesting plant' and soon his luck changes. This student production runs from Wednesday to Saturday and romantics can enjoy a St Valentine's Day link-up between the theatre and the Randolph Hotel, with a special pre-show dinner. For details pf the offers, telephone 0870 400 8200.
Performances are at 7.30pm (Friday 8pm), with Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.30. Box office telephone for the show only is 01865 798600.
