Schoolgirl Ann Tivey landed a major part in a video - aimed at raising the profile of older people.
The seven-year-old, from Fulbrook, near Burford, was chosen because of her confidence in front of the camera and her good reading and speaking skills.
Young helping old: Ann TiveyShe is now fronting Age Concern's manifesto launch, flagging the five election priorities the charity wants the next Government to tackle.
The video features Ann imagining what it's like to be an older person and is being screened for the first time today at a press conference in London.
Ann said: "It's not just the older people who should be thinking about this. I'm worried about what's going to happen to me when I get to be as old as my nan, unless someone does something now to make things better."
The makers of the video visited Burford Primary School to see if they could the right child to front the short film - and had no hesitation when they saw Ann.
Her parents, Jacqui and Bob Tivey, are accompanying her to the launch and said they were very proud of her performance.
