BBC Vets in Practice star Joe Inglis is inviting people to join him on an Italian trek to raise money for the Blue Cross animal welfare charity in September.
Mr Inglis, who works part-time for the Jackson Veterinary Practice in Carterton, will be joined by former Blue Peter presenter Valerie Singleton on a trail through Tuscany.
This is the first trip abroad organised by the charity, which has a centre in Burford.
It will take place from September 15 to 22, with people walking between six and seven hours a day through the Italian countryside. The trek will end in Assisi, the birthplace of the patron saint of animals, St Francis.
Each walker will need to register with a deposit of 200 and then raise a minimum of 1,750.
Mr Inglis said: "I am hoping along with other animal lovers to take part in the Blue Cross Tuscany Trail later this year."
The Blue Cross rehomes 7,500 unwanted animals each year and provides veterinary care for the pets of people who cannot afford private veterinary fees.
