Plans to improve transport links across Oxfordshire have been approved.
County councillors at yesterday's public transport sub-committee highlighted the launch of a wide range of improvements, which could cost £18.5m.
There are plans for new rail stations at Wantage/Grove and Kidlington and a modern 2m bus hub at Didcot railway station.
New interchanges at Bure Place, Bicester, Thornhill Park and Ride, Headington, and in Abingdon, are also in the pipeline.
Residents have been calling for the reopening of a rail link at Grove for many years but the funding has not been available.
Liberal Democrat councillor Neil Fawcett said: "We will be putting up more money and moving forward to secure a partnership with one of the rail companies to move the project forward."
Councillors said they would budget £600,000 towards the development of railway stations and aimed to secure additional funding from the rail companies.
Money will also be spent on bus priority lanes, including the A44 approaching Pear Tree from Woodstock, the South Hinksey A34 interchange, the M40-A41 junction near Bicester, and at the A4260 through Kidlington.
