Construction company Hinkins & Frewin, which has offices in Oxford, helped produce another strong set of full-year results for parent company Morgan Sindall.
Turnover for the group in the year ended December 31, rose to £655m, a 26 per cent increase on the 1999 figure.
Pre-tax profit was £15.36m, a rise of 52 per cent on the previous year's £10.08m.
Hinkin and Frewin's turnover during 2000 was £50m, an increase of 17 per cent over 1999 and since July the company has secured a series of new projects, worth more than 20m.
Key projects include a 10m Posthouse hotel at Peartree roundabout, Oxford, and a 6m project for the Nuffield Orthopaedic NHS Trust in Oxford and a 4.1m office refurbishment in Staines.
Hinkins & Frewin managing director John Dance said: "With more than 64 per cent of work won coming from repeat business and referrals, this approach has rewarded us with significant success which we aim to improve on in 2001."
