Science firm Magnex Scientific has completed a move into a state-of-the-art factory at Yarnton.
The company, which makes high-power, ultra-low temperature magnets, has moved its base from Abingdon Business Park to the Oxford Industrial Park.
Managing director David Rayner said the move into the new 65,000 sq ft factory would enhance the range and development of the magnets which are used in research institutions worldwide.
Dr Rayner said: "This is a great step forward for Magnex showing that Oxfordshire is a world centre in engineering excellence, as well as learning."
He said the move would lead to the company, which employs 100 people, recruiting more staff.
Magnex Scientific was established in Oxfordshire in 1982 to make magnet for use in medical and particle physics research.
Dr Rayner said each magnet was individually designed for customers. Some are powerful enough to stop a 200-tonne locomotive travelling at 100mph, while others are delicate enough to harmlessly scan a human body.
