Neil Sutton hit a hat-trick as Shrivenham took a massive stride towards the Division 1 title and a Hellenic League berth with a 5-1 win at Harwell International, writes Andy Wells.

Mark Peters and Keir Pritchard also netted for Shrivenham, while Martin Parsons scored for Harwell, who had Lee Newport sent off in the second half.

Leaders Long Wittenham faltered again, going down 3-0 at Kintbury Rangers, with Spencer Annetts (2) and Michael Spence scoring.

Harwell Village need a miracle to stay in the top flight after they went down 4-1 at Sutton Courtenay.

Scott Ellis (2), Derek Palfrey and Rob Powell scored for the home side with Sean Beard grabbing Harwell's consolation.

The top three sides all lost in Division 2. Lowly Steventon shattered leaders Benson AFC's unbeaten record with a 5-2 victory thanks to goals from Craig Bell (2), James Spiller (2) and Keith Saville netting.

Second-placed Marcham went down 3-2 at home to struggling Coleshill United. Two goals from Steve Blake and another from Martin Chivers eclipsed efforts by Marcham's Steve Lewis and Peter Fox.

Botley United completed the top trio's misery as they went down 1-0 at Warborough with Gary Rudman grabbing the crucial goal.

Hanney United continued their recent good spell with a 1-0 win at Saxton Rovers Res, Dave Archer providing the all-important strike.
