An extraordinary second half produced nine goals as Wheatley 84 hung on for a 6-5 victory in their Morrells Oxford Sunday League Premier Divison basement battle with Masons Arms.
A foggy first half saw Wheatley go 2-0 up through an own goal and Simon Burton's strike, but the goals rained in at the other end after the break.
Whenever Wheatley pulled cleared, Masons kept coming back, as they scored five times after the interval. Steve Washington (2), Andrew Kirtland and Paul Flack replied for Wheatley who never lost their lead as they picked up three much-needed points.
AFC Vikings turned in probably their worst performance of the season at Cowley Social Club in Division 1 and had to battle hard for a point in a 1-1 draw. Cowley took the lead through Gary Weaving before Knight toe-poked an equaliser.
Arncott were 2-0 up after only 15 minutes at Woodchip Wanderers in Division 4 but ended up losing 6-2.
Top-scorer Gary Lawton and veteran defender Andy Cox put Arncott ahead, but Woodchip battled back to level with two goals from Andy Nicholas, the second a brilliant strike.
In the second half, Arncott fell away as Nicholas completed a four-timer for Woodchip, whose other goals came from Phil Nolan's scissor-kick and James Minnion.
Roebuck thrashed visitors Witney Town 8-0 thanks to four strikes from goal king Mark Scanes, two from Gary Rudman, one from Stuart Moir and a 30-yarder from Darren Barber.
Six Bells Kidlington had to withstand a determined revival from Division 2 side Yarnton Village before securing their place in the second round of the Presidents Cup with a 4-2 victory.
Early in the second half, Six Bells led 3-0 with goals from Lee Bolton (2) and Danny Morris.
After long spells of Yarnton pressure, Ian Kibble-White pulled one back from the spot, and Mark Charlett's free kick made it 3-2. As Yarnton squandered their chances, Fraser Gills' strike sealed the tie for Bells.
In a second-round tie, Star Royal needed extra time to beat AFC Jericho 3-2.
Royal took a 2-0 lead through Matty Phillips and Stuart Wise, but second-half goals from Silver and Dean Joseph with a 30-yard special brought the scores level after 90 minutes.
However, Jericho's efforts were in vain as Mickey Tighe snatched the victory for Royal in the first period of extra time.
