The famous Hypno-Disc will battle it out in the final of TV's Robot Wars tonight.
The 12-stone motorised monster, designed and built by Ken Rose and his twin sons, Dave and Derek, of Nethercote, Banbury, smashed the opposition in the semi-finals last week and is firm favourite for the top title.
The team with their lethal robot, Hypno-Disc It is the third year the Rose family has taken part in Robot Wars, and the Hypno-Disc, with its fearsome toothed wheel which spins at 750 rpm, has been made even more lethal.
Dave, 33, an engineer, said: "We've got two battles to face and with a weapon that can knock out an opponent in one hit, we could end up the winners."
Stan Launchbury, 63, of Shakespeare Road, Eynsham, and his son Jason were knocked out in the semi-finals but are already building their next robot. The final is on BBC2 at 6.45pm tonight (Friday, February 23).
