Pupils at a preparatory school are eating in style these days.
An old portable building has been replaced by a new dining hall part of a £900,000 spending package at independently-run the Manor Preparatory school in Abing- don.
The centrepiece of the dining room and nursery department at The Manor is a geometric pattern on the dining room floor, designed by the school's head of art Lavinia Kilsby.
The new nursery is an open-plan design with a mezzanine floor and an outside enclosed play area with safety surface.
In the last 14 years more than 7m has been spent replacing temporary classrooms with specially-designed buildings, including computer rooms, a design and science block and a music school.
Headteacher Dorothy Robinson said: "The new dining room and nursery are outstanding additions to our facilities and the children and staff enjoy the surroundings.
"It is another step in our drive to enhance all our facilities."
