Kidlington's unbeaten run in 2001 was ended by a spirited Cirencester outfit.
Clive Messenger opened the scoring on 29 minutes when he smashed the ball home from close range after what looked like a foul on Kidlington keeper Craig Ewers.
Paul Faulkner equalised shortly after the break with the best move of the match involving Dave Couling and Frazer Gills.
Les Davies restored Cirencester's lead on 62 minutes, but try as they might, Kidlington could not find an equaliser, hitting bar, post and clubhouse in the process!
