Ardley made the long journey back from Ross with three points after a hard-fought Division '1' West encounter.
Ardley had a couple of early chances with Steve Tucker going close before he broke the deadlock after beating two defenders and rounding keeper Andrew Watkins to score.
Ross then put the Ardley defence under pressure with long balls into the box, but they stood firm with Tom Goldthorpe and Paul Wright outstanding.
Goalkeeper Dave Taylor twisted his ankle and was forced to come off, but sub Michael Maciak took over between the posts for the last half hour and made two good saves at the death.
