Carterton ended Supermarine's 23-match unbeaten run in the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Premier Division with a superb all-round team performance ending in a 2-1 victory.
The visitors went ahead in the tenth minute when Michael Silvanus headed home a Steve Davis corner.
Scott Taylor, Jason Cook and Paul Sherwood all had good chances to equalise before a pin-point cross from Taylor found the head of Sherwood to make it 1-1 after 35 minutes.
In the second half, Kevin Lewis somehow lifted the ball over the bar from two yards out, but Carterton grabbed the winner with 15 minutes left.
Sherwood was brought down 20 yards out and Taylor's stunning free kick gave goalkeeper Chris Webb no chance.
