Olympic gold medallist Stephanie Cook will be presenting the Oxfordshire Sports Council awards to the young sportsperson of the year and to the Town v Gown winners at Oxford University's Iffley Road ground on Friday, March 9.
Cook, whose parents are from Oxford, won the Young Sportsperson of the Year award herself in 1996 when she was at Oxford University.
The three nominees for this year's award are Richard Grandi (skater hockey) and Andrew Morton and Nathan Douglas (athletics).
Nominees for the young disabled sports person are Daniel Newton (sailing) and Alex Simmons (tennis), while the accolade of young team of the year will go to one of City of Oxford Swimming Club or Oxford Blues Tornados skater hockey team.
