Villagers in Long Crendon are deep in rehearsals for their annual cycle of medieval mystery plays.
The productions from the York Cycle will be on May 10, 11 and 12 - the 30th year they have taken place.
The mystery plays were performed in the streets of places like York, Chester and Wakefield by the craft guilds during the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries.
They tell the story of Man from the Creation to the Ascension.
Music and costumes for the plays are authentic. More than 100 actors take part and this year Ed Cairns plays the part of Jesus for the first time.
