Second-Placed Crown House recorded a 10-0 win over Morris Motors A to stay hard on the heels of leaders Kidlington Forum A in the Oxford & District League.

However, the Division 1 leaders show few signs of cracking as they saw off St James A 8-2. Gary Pickford picked up the two games for St James and lost only 2119 in the third set to top player Karl Bushell.

At the other end of the table, Kidlington Forum B recorded a valuable point against St James A, with no player remaining unbeaten.

County junior Greg Boone is having a fine season in his first year in Division 2. He won his three singles games for Forum E against Bicester A and then teamed up with Bob Klobucki to win the doubles in a 7-3 victory.

Begbroke leapt up to third position following consecutive victories over Morris Motors D and Kidlington Forum D. Janet Brown was the star in both, winning all her matches.

In Division 3, Haddenham B continue to set the pace, winning 7-3 at Holton. Rodney Browne won his three games.

The top-of-the-table clash in Division 4 between Kidlington Forum G and the young Bicester C team finished all square.

Bicester's Jordan Weaver scored a good victory over the experienced Glen Stiffle, but could not repeat the feat against the canny Brian Rowles. His teammate, Paul Bonnet, beat Rowles, but then lost to Stiffle.
