Internet company Mondus has presented five reconditioned computers to schools in Oxford and Bicester.

Staff also helped decorate classrooms at Frideswide Middle School in Oxford. Pablo Goulemot, Niels Reidock, Alex Villa and Daniel Edmunds gave up a weekend to join teachers in decorating the classrooms in time for assembly on Monday.

Michael Leavey, UK manager at Mondus, said: "Recycling the PCs was a good opportunity to give something back to the community.

"We could be encouraging the next generation of Internet entrepreneurs."

Nicola Venn, IT co-ordinator at Kings Meadow Primary School, Bicester, which also received computers, said: "I am delighted to see a local business supporting the education of children in the community."

Mondus, which has its UK headquarters at the Oxford Innovation Centre in Mill Street, Osney, offers small businesses the chance to buy and sell office equipment and other services via the Internet.
