Oxford City 2, Northwood 5 PLAYING their fifth game in a week, City received a lesson in finishing when, despite having as much of the play, they were well beaten in their last Ryman League Division 1 contest.
For the second match running, City went behind to a controversial early goal when Yaku ran on to beat Alan Foster when looking suspiciously offside.
Matty Whitehead shot over for City in the tenth minute, but they fell further behind in the 22nd minute when they failed to deal with a high cross. And in trying to clear, Andy Smith diverted the ball past Foster.
City's keeper saved well to deny Yaku, and at the other end, they had a good chance when Dwaine Strong raced on to a pass from Richard Peirson, only for Riordan to save with his chest when well outside his area.
The mobile visitors attack was pulling City's normally reliable defence all over the place, and they notched a third in the 42nd minute when, after Hales's shot had been blocked by Julian Dark, he buried the rebound past a helpless Foster.
City pulled a goal back in the 48th minute when Mark Druce chested down a header from Peirson for Smith to volley home
With 20 minutes left, City gave the ball away in their own half and Hale broke clear to finish perfectly.
John McMahon had a shot well saved by Riordan, but with City pushing forward, in the 83rd minute, Yaku's pace was too much for a barren defence and he rounded Foster to score.
Jermain Ferreira, who had an excellent game, crossed for McMahon to cleverly back heel City's second in the 86th minute, and they nearly got another when Whitehead's shot was deflected for a corner.
