Motorists had a lucky escape after a double motorway accident in Oxfordshire over the long weekend.
Emergency services were called to junction 10 of the M40, near Ardley, on Monday, after a car hit the central reservation.
Debris from the accident on the south-bound carriageway was thrown onto the northbound carriageway, resulting in a second accident.
Although paramedics attended the scene, no-one was hurt.
In a separate accident, a motorist was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital after a car struck a horse on Burford Road, Filkins, near Carterton, on Monday evening.
The motorist's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. It is believed that the horse was not carrying a rider.
Earlier yesterday, a 50 year-old woman sustained minor injuries after the motorbike she was riding was in collision with a car in Henef Way, Banbury.
The woman was taken to The Horton General Hospital.
