Run machine Mark Cannons continued where he left off last season with an unbeaten 82 in Witney Mills' 231-4 against Great & Little Tew.
In reply, Tew were handily placed at 197-2, thanks to Paul Catling (76) and Kevin Taylor (75).
But then Mills skipper Steve Kelly pounced with three wickets in one over to restrict the visitors to 214-6.
