An Oxford First School has won an Investors in People Award for its high standards.
St Christopher's CE First School, Temple Road, impressed the IiP inspectors who praised staff, pupils and parents.
Organisations have to meet a range of targets, including training and development, to get the award.
The IiP report said that the school had regular time set aside for staff development, evaluation and training.
It praised headteacher Kathy Turner, pictured with five-year-old pupils, from left, Safron Clarke, Chloe Haynes, Karim Pal, Marina Marinali, Sam Murphy and Halima Hussain, for having "a sincere belief in the valued contribution people can make to develop the school".
Assessor Eric Dore said: "There is an underlying strength and sense of ability among all the staff which comes through, particularly with regard to their relationships with each other and towards the pupils.
"This is a happy school with motivated and well developed staff. It is a credit to all."
Mrs Turner said: "St Christopher's First School is delighted to be receiving this prestigious award. It recognises that the school has a fine reputation."
