Champion bare-knuckle prize fighter Jamie Figg is to be remembered in a new street name.
He was the British champion in the early 1900s and fought all over the country.
He used to stand on the Long Crendon Road into Thame, challenging all comers to a fight.
He will be remembered in Figg Lane, a new development off Cotmore Gardens in Thame.
**A former Thame Urban Council member and chairman, John Everett, will lend his name to Everett Road, a development off Howland Road.
