A tree surgeon has been sentenced after he admitted damaging trees in a conservation area.
Lawrence Pullen, of Parkside, Cuddesdon, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £425.50 by Thame magistrates.
He was prosecuted by South Oxfordshire District Council for work he did on trees in Berrick Salome conservation area.
Council forestry officer Martin Gammey said a written agreement on how the trees should be dealt with was ignored and damage was done both to the trees' health and their amenity value.
