Haddenham Parish Council member Angela Hart is following in her father's footsteps.
She was a member of the council, then vice-chairman and has now been elected chairman.
Her father, the late Bill Rose, was chairman in the 1980s.
Enid Robinson, landlady of the Red Lion pub in the village, is vice-chairman.
Retiring chairman Margaret Aston is the village's representative on Buckinghamshire County Council and is the Cabinet member there, with special responsibility for children and young people.
She remains a member of the council.
Ron Honour stays chairman of finance, John Brandis of charitable foundations and new chairmen are Mrs Robinson on environment, David Goodenough on communications, Michael Whitney on allotments and Pete Summerskill on planning.
