Oriental food and Origami were the order of the day at a Japanese children's day on Tuesday.
The event at Donnington Doorstep Family Centre, Oxford, was the latest in a series of events celebrating the different cultural backgrounds of families which attend the centre, off Donnington Bridge Road.
Hanako TakahashiAbout 60 adults and children tried their hand at the ancient Japanese paper folding art of Origami.
Masako Sparrowhawk, who attends the centre with her son, provided a menu of Japanese food.
Events organiser Sue Cocker said: "It all looked lovely and tasted great. We do have Japanese children living in Oxford.
"About five attend the centre. It's very important for all the children to learn about each others' cultures.
"I think everyone has enjoyed the day."
