A new Spar shop opening today is starting off with a big donation.
To mark the launch of their new store in Brize Norton Road, Minster Lovell, owners Dave and Lyn Lewis are donating £17,000 to Oxford's Helen House Hospice.
Wine tastings and a bouncy castle aim to encourage villagers to join in the launch celebrations, and dozens of special offers are planned.
Mr Lewis said: "We have made sure our new-look store offers customers in Minster Lovell the services they want and products that they need."
The store aims to offer as many locally grown products as possible. It also has a National Lottery terminal and sells mobile phone cards.
It will open from 6am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday, from 6am to 7.30pm on Saturdays and 7am to 8pm on Sundays.
