Parents and children in a new village have voted in favour of starting Cub and Beaver troops.
The move is the latest in a series of measures aimed at giving Heyford Park village a community feel.
Heyford Park, on the site of the former Upper Heyford airfield, consists of around 400 ex-airman's houses. Up to 750 new homes will be built there when plans have been approved by Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council.
The decision to start the Beaver Colony and Cub Pack was taken at a meeting of 70 youngsters and their parents in the chapel off Camp Road.
Activities will begin on Monday. Cub leader Elaine Robinson and two assistants will oversee the new groups.
Mrs Robinson said: "The community is growing all the time and it is important that we provide a range of activities for the young people."
Beavers will cater for six to eight-year-olds, and the Cubs will take eight to 11-year-olds.
Heyford youth and community worker Paula Hind carried out a survey earlier this year to determine the needs of the new village which now has nearly 800 residents.
The Beaver and Cub groups follow the opening of a youth club last month for teenagers in the village.
