The demand for programmes for Oxford United's last home league game took club officials by surprise and they are now responding to requests for a re-print.
They had ensured that the print run was much higher than the usual percentage of the expected crowd, but it seemed everyone present at the Port Vale game wanted to buy a programme as a memento.
Commercial manager Gary Hooper said: "We could never have envisaged the exceptionally huge demand for these items. But we do not want to disappoint any supporter, so everything is being reordered to ensure that everyone can have a copy of a once-in-a-lifetime programme, and their own t-shirt or mug."
The bumper 48-page programme, which cost £3, included a special 28-page historical supplement written by club historian Andy Howland, reflecting on the unique history of the club.
Supporters who were unable to buy a copy at last Tuesday night's game against Port Vale bombarded the club switchboard with complaints, so a swift decision was taken to reprint and satisfy demand.
The programmes should be available in the club shop from today.
