Children have painted pictures of themselves as part of an art project.
The children at New Hinksey First School, Vicarage Road, south Oxford, are holding an open day on Saturday, May 12 from 2pm to 5pm to display paintings and poetry with the theme 'Insideout' - what we are like on the inside and the outside. A community cafe will also be running.
Ruth Draper, school art co-ordinator, said: "We got the children to think about what makes each one of us in the community special."
Artist Clive Williams, pictured above working with some of the children, and poet Bob Devereux, travelled from St Ives, Cornwall, to help the children with their artistic work.
Ms Draper added: "It's the first time we have used words and art together."
