MAGDALEN College Junior School, Oxford claimed their first hat-trick of titles at the UK Chess Challenge regional finals at Birmingham.
Jonathan Lappage, from Kidlington, led the way with a perfect 6/6 in the under 15 competition.
His feat was emulated by Jacob Trefethen in the under eight category and Daniel Rey, who triumphed in the under ten championship.
Edward Down almost made it four titles for Magdalen. He was joint champion with 5/6 in the under nine group, just missing out on the championship through the 'countback' system.
In total, 16 of Magdalen's 20 competitors qualified for the national finals at Sheffield on July 15.
Oxfordshire's girls also enjoyed several successes.
Poppy Maxwell won the all girls under nine championship with 6/6.
Little Milton Primary School's Georgina Stevenson was best girl in the under seven section, as were Larissa Cooke (Emmanuel Christian School, U8), Naomi Miller (Frideswide, U11) and Claire Morris (U13).
