OXFORD'S next round of open greyhounds races are on Tuesday, May 29, and the first ever 595m distance has attracted great interest with more than 30 greyhounds already booked for trials.
The new distance will come under an 'M' prefix, which stands for middle distance. It is hoped that within one week or so, races can be graded over the new distance.
The first winner of a 595m race will have the unique tag of track record holder.
