Witney Town FC hopes to secure a financial future by securing a deal with a major disco dance company.
The struggling club is applying for a special outdoor licence to run four night club-style events this year in a marquee at the Downs Road ground.
The first is planned for the late May Bank Holiday weekend, on Sunday, May 27, with further ones on the August Bank Holiday, Hallowe'en and New Year's Eve.
Top roadshow night club company Miss Moneypenny's has been lined up to stage the events, with the club taking profits from the bar and food.
Roger Alder, promotions director, said: "At this stage it is purely speculative, but hopefully it could secure the stadium's future."
"We hope it will not bother too many people in the area.
"Everyone knows the club's problems and we need it to survive. In the long run we would hope to cut a five-year deal with the company involved."
The club's licence application comes before a meeting of West Oxfordshire District Council's licensing committee on May 22.
It is asking for an outdoor events licence for the four days, with the May 27 event running from 2pm to 11.45pm. Only 18-year-olds and over will be allowed in.
A 100ft by 500ft marquee in part of the stadium car park would be the main arena, with two others inside the club.
