Skipper Andy Haynes contributed 46 against the seam bowling of Guy Lemon (3-41) and spin of Richard Tilley (4-18).
Tom Pollard's 48 and an unbeaten 33 from Dave Wadsworth saw Vale home to maximum points for the loss of five wickets.

Losing five wickets in the last two overs certainly did Banbury Twenty 2nd no favours at Sandford St Martin, where their innings ended at 160-9.
An opening stand of 110 by John Hamilton (75) and Jim Howe (52) then put the home team on the way to a six-wicket win.

Buckingham 2nd did the right thing by asking Kidlington 2nd to bat first. Paul Sly took 6-55 with his seamers as Kidlington were pegged back to 180-9.
Adam Izzard hit 46 as Buckingham reached their goal for the loss of five wickets, four of them falling to the bowling of Blackford.
