To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Rail link connecting Oxford with Bicester and Bletchley, the Oxon and Bucks Rail Action Committee (OBRAC) will present a painting and history of the line to Bicester Town Council.
The painting, by David Bowker and Duncan Christelow, was commissioned for the campaign to re-open the line between Bicester and Bletchley and shows the first train leaving Bicester for Milton Keynes. The council will also be presented with a history of the line from 1960 to 2000, written by Bill Simpson.
At 8pm next Monday, May 21, people living in Islip are invited to watch a video about the Oxford to Bletchley rail link.
