Challow & Childrey gained a dramatic three-wicket win over Kimble in a Division 1 last-ball thriller.

Chasing Kimble's 227-6, Challow needed 12 to win off the last over. And they scrambled home in a remarkable finish with a dropped catch off the final delivery allowing them to scamper through for the winning single.

Nigel Hill was unbeaten on 44 after Ashley Holznagel (52) and new boy Steve Ferry (60) had put Challow on course for victory to defy Salim Fazal (4-66).

Earlier, contributions from Lumb (73) and Whitehead (44 no) had provided the backbone of Kimble's innings as Dave Moore took 4-90.

Reigning champions Banbury Twenty bounced back from their opening day defeat to dismiss visitors Sandford St Martin for 139 and set up an easy eight-wicket win.

Left-arm spinner Steve Hart took 5-19 and new boy Mark Rawll weighed in with 3-36.

Skipper Dave Burbidge (72) then led from the front and, with some help from Richard Hawkins (46), ensured maximum points for Twenty.

Rob Brooks played the leading role as Thame made it two wins out of two with a five-wicket win over Buckingham at Church Meadow.

Buckingham looked set for a decent score at 80-1, but then Brooks stepped in to take 5-55 as they collapsed to 159 all out.

Brooks then top-scored with 37 as Thame eased to 160-5.

Cumnor, with veteran Clive Ricks standing firm despite a leg injury, held out at 181-9 for a draw against Oxford Downs.

Earlier, Paddy Daniel (59) led the way for Downs as they reached 217-9, with Adam Cook taking 3-72.

Rover Cowley's last pair also held out at the death as they closed on 185-9 against Shipton-under-Wychwood.

Chasing Shipton's 196, Rover looked to be in pole position at 134-2, with Chris Thomas making 68, only for Shaun Miller (6-56) and Phil Garner (3-66) to peg them back.

Earlier, Ian Lewis demonstrated his versatility for Shipton with a sparkling 68 as they fought back from a precarious 112-7. Stewart Laudat (4-62) and Dan Scroop (3-47) were Rover's chief wicket-takers.
