Campaigners wore chains at a protest in Oxford's South Park on Saturday to symbolise the struggle faced by under-developed countries in debt.
Elizabeth Samuelson, nineThe Oxford Drop the Debt group wanted to highlight the need to relieve people in the developing world of poverty.
The Kakatsisi Ghanaian Drummers led a parade through High Street to Broad Street.
Campaigners say people in under-developed countries are dying because their governments are forced to make debt repayments, instead of spending money on providing health care and clean water.
