Witney's hopes of avoiding relegation from South West 2 East were dashed on Saturday, when Slough crashed 37-8 to Stroud in a promotion play-off.
If Slough, runners up in the East Division had won the contest, only High Wycombe would have gone down, but now Witney join them as well.
Witney's drop into Southern Counties North means that at least three clubs will be relegated from that league to Berks, Bucks & Oxon 1. And there's still a chance that Bicester will go down as well.
Bicester, who finished fourth from bottom, will be doomed if Grove lose their Southern Counties promotion play-off at Salisbury this Saturday.
Salisbury have ground advantage in this contest between the runners-up in the Southern Counties North and South Divisions because of their better league record over the season.
