Strikers Scott Taylor and Paul Sherwood have been ruled out as Carterton Town seek to wreck holders Swindon Supermarine's treble bid in the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Complete Music Cup final at Fairford Town tonight (7.30).
Leading scorer Taylor, who has been playing for the RAF, has a knee injury, while Sherwood, who has missed the last three matches with a hamstring strain, has failed to recover in time.
The pair's absence is a major blow for Carterton as they bid to stop all-conquering Supermarine adding the league cup to the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League title and the Floodlit Cup they already have in the bag.
And it comes with 17-year-old forward David Herbert, who has been in sparkling form for Carterton in the final weeks of the season, already ruled out.
The teenager suffered a nasty gash which required ten stitches following a late tackle in Carterton's 3-1 defeat at Pegasus Juniors on Friday.
However, Carterton, who are chasing their first triumph in the competition, do have Kevin Lewis back from suspension. Fellow midfielder Jason Cook returns from RAF duty and defender Craig Dore is back after being on holiday in Mexico. Gary Brown is added to the squad.
Carterton Tn: from Heritage, Leach, Lewis, Henry, Dore, Woodley, Didcock, Mortimer-Jones, Cole, Dodds, Foster, Andrews, Cook, Brown.
