Two men conned their way into an elderly woman's house before stealing her cash and bank books.
A man called at the 90-year-old woman's house in Norreys Avenue in south Oxford .
After telling his victim he was a representative of Thames Water and had come to check her water pressure, he said it was a job which required him to check a valve under the kitchen sink.
A copmuter-generated image of one suspectWhile the home-owner was distracted talking to the burglar in the kitchen, his accomplice crept into the house and stole about £300 cash and bank books from an upstairs bedroom.
The woman was able to give the police a good description of the conman and managed to compile a computer-generated image of his face.
She described him as white, aged about 17, with wavy short dark hair, and wide eyes. He is about 5ft 4ins tall, and clean shaven. She did not see his accomplice.
They called at about 12.45pm on May 10, and may have driven a white van.
Anyone who saw a person in the area answering his description, or saw his vehicle, should call Oxford police on 01865 266333, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
