Ten soldiers from Dalton Barracks are in training for a 100-mile relay run to raise money for charity and celebrate the centenary of their corps.
The runners, from 60 Transport Squadron Royal Logistic Corps, will leave Centenary Square in Birmingham on the morning of May 30 and will camp overnight at Evesham before reaching Dalton Barracks, Abingdon.
From there all ten soldiers will run together for the final two miles into the town's Market Place.
The soldiers will be accompanied by a support team carrying collection tins in aid of the Down's Syndrome Assoc- iation.
One of the team is Cpl Paul Latham, whose young son has Down's Syndrome. The squadron has chosen to support the charity for this year.
