Two teams from Moulsford Preparatory School, near Wallingford, have left for east France to push their endurance to the limit - all in the name of charity.
After flying out, they will aim to canoe across Lake Annecy, and complete gruelling cycling and climbing routes within 12-hours in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The annual event, organised by the Wooden Spoon Society, is normally held in Cumbria and is known as the Lakeland Challenge.
But due to foot and mouth restrictions, the event has been moved, and airline Easyjet has agreed to fly the 30 teams out for free.
Moulsford's men's team includes the school's head of geography, Oliver Farley, right, head of science William Skottowe, second left, and head of games Chris Symonds, left. The women's team includes staff member Gaby Clements, pictured, and mothers Karen D'Arcy and Libby Wilcox.
They have raised £12,000 so far.
