Banbury skipper Neil Megson was delighted with his side's performance in their Home Counties League opening-day victory over Slough.
Oxfordshire all-rounder David Taylor took eight wickets last Saturday as last year's Division 2 West winners were seen off by five wickets.
And Megson will be looking for more of the same from the defending Division 1 champions when they host Beaconsfield tomorrow.
"We bowled and fielded superbly against Slough," said Megson. "Then we showed cool heads when we lost three early wickets.
"Slough looked a very good side - they had some good players and they seemed a very in-your-face team, just like us. I expect them to finish in the top four, so to start with a win over them was great."
Banbury (v Beaconsfield, home): Haupt, Sabin, Shahbaz Ali, Barratt, Smith, Radford, Taylor, Rorich, Megson, Hill, Adams.
*Banbury must travel to Loughborough in the third round of the National Cricket Club Knockout on Sunday, May 27.
Banbury won on run rate at Hinckley in last Sunday's second round tie.
In-form Shahbaz Ali was the star, hitting exactly 100 not out for the Oxfordshire side, moving from 50 to 100 in just 15 balls.
