Moves are under way to provide tourist town Burford with extra car parking spaces.
West Oxfordshire District Council's urgency committee has authorised the purchase of land adjoining the town's public car park at Guildenford. The move would create an extra 79 spaces of free parking. Initiatives to find alternative sites in the town have so far proved fruitless.
