Trout ace Dick Robinson scooped a charity match title with the fish of a lifetime - which he returned.
Robinson hooked a 7lb brown trout early on in the Roy Marshall Memorial Cup boat match, held at the Farmoor II reservoir, near Oxford. The fish was witnessed before being slipped back.
He went on to catch another eight trout, for an overall total weight of 24lb 6oz, beating David Duffy, who had ten fish for 24lb 2oz, into second place.
Robinson's big brown trout and all of Duffy's fish were caught on a deadly new Booby, called the Sunset Stripper, devised and tied by former policeman and Farmoor boat specialist Alan Stock.
In third place out of the 24 anglers who took part in the popular annual event, was Steve Oxlade with 22lb 1oz.
Fourth was Stuart Yates with 22lb oz, fifth was Gerald Collins with 19lb 2oz and in joint sixth, with 18lb, were Stephen McKenna and Ivan Tinsley. All took the ten-fish limit set for the match.
A total of 122 fish were caught by the 24 anglers who competed. The biggest rainbow trout caught weighed 5lb 15oz.
The proceeds of the event will be donated to the Sir Michael Sobell House Hospice in Oxford.
