The Oxford Mail's sister property website, Fish4homes, has launched a new service to help homebuyers to assess the risk of flooding, pollution, subsidence and other dangers to buildings.
Users can find detailed risk information on individual properties free of charge.
The service, offered in partnership with property experts Homecheck, identifies risks by postcode, using a range of official sources, including the Environment Agency, the Health and Safety Executive and the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions.
Buyers looking in areas that are considered potentially risky are then advised on how to find out more detailed information and advice.
