The Tooth Fairy waved her magic wand, beaming a big grin and wearing sports trainers.
Her appearance was timed to coincide with National Smile Week and followed a promotion with local schools by the town's Corn Street dental practice.
The tooth fairy, alias Kelley MastersDental nurse Kelley Masters put on her fancy white dress with wings and mingled among shoppers in the Woolgate shopping centre in Witney.
The theme was a simple one: "A smile resplendent with gleaming teeth is only possible with proper dental care."
The Corn Street practice, which is run by Helen James and Paul Hustler, also produced National Smile Week posters based on designs put together by students from Carterton Community College.
Tooth Fairy Kelley was not handing out sweets or coins to go under pillows, but dental care literature, samples of toothpaste and sugar-free sports drinks instead.
