Pete Lamont, the former Thame United first-team coach, has teamed up with Alan Thorne at Abingdon Town.
Thorne has recruited Lamont to be his assistant manager and first-team coach at the Ryman Division 3 club.
The pair formed part of Thame's highly successful management team with Andy Sinnott until Thorne's sacking in February.
Following Thorne's departure, Lamont was disappointed not to be made assistant manager with Mark West getting the job, and quit at the start of March after three and a half years at Windmill Stadium.
Thorne said: "We will be working together as a partnership. We worked very well together at Thame. I like Pete and respect his ideas.
"He is very keen and I am very keen and the club are very keen.
"The club has been in the doldrums for a few years and we are looking to turn it around and bring a bit of success."
RAF Under 25s manager Lee Croucher, who had been involved in a coaching role at Abingdon, has left the club.
*Former Oxford City and Witney Town midfielder Simon Abercrombie has teamed up with his old boss Andy Lyne at AFC Newbury.
Abercrombie joined City - where Lyne was assistant to Paul Lee - last summer, but only played eight games due to injury and had his contract cancelled by mutual consent in February.
But now he has been given the all-clear to resume playing while he awaits an operation on a chipped bone in his ankle.
Lyne has also recruited prolific scorer Tom Peglar, who like Abercrombie, played under him at Witney Town.
Peglar has scored 56 goals in two seasons for BAT Sports in the Wessex League.
DR MARTENS League Eastern Division club Banbury United are spending £18,000 on pitch improvements at the Stadium.
The funds have come via a grant from the Football Foundation, formerly the Football Trust, and the work is being done by local company Speedcut Ltd, from Murcott.
