A new youth club has opened to help teenagers living near Bicester try new activities.
The club has been started at Heyford Park, the former United States Air Force base in Upper Heyford. It is sponsored by the North Oxfordshire Consortium, which runs the site in conjunction with the Ministry of Defence.
Paula Hind, Heyford Park's youth and community worker, said: "The youth club has attracted 35 members to date and we are planning a busy schedule of activities, including arts and personal development projects, for the summer months.
"Our young members have worked incredibly hard painting the building."
The club caters for people aged from 11 to 18 and meets on Tuesday evenings from 7pm.
