Husband-and-wife team Sharon and Warren Harvey are hoping to cash in on their taste for exotic accessories and furniture.
Their new shop, Off the Wall Furnishings, has just opened in the Wesley Lane shopping precinct, Bicester.
They will bring their own style and flair for unusual and exotic accessories and furniture to Bicester, but, rather than drawing on inspiration from their far-flung travels, the idea was actually sparked by a trip to the Lake District.

Sharon said: "We have been thinking about this for about two years, but it was a case of finding the right premises and getting it all together.
"We will be selling products from community craft groups including furniture, carved dragons, and all sorts of really unusual items. We will be selling some very different things from colourful mobiles to furniture carved in the shape of hands."
Sharon and Warren, of Conifer Drive, Bicester, have run a business before, but in catering - a far cry from the world of home interiors.
Sharon added: "I will be running the shop, but it is very much a family business.
"I come from the Lake District and we had seen some shops up there selling similar stuff and thought it would be good to do the same but down here. We kept coming back to the idea again and again, but it was only a few weeks ago that the shop became available, so we spent the Easter weekend talking to suppliers and, since then, we have been rushing around to get everything ready."
