Rumours that the daughter of the former American president and former Oxford student Bill Clinton, will be coming to study in Oxford this year are growing in the USA.
The Daily News in New York has reported that Chelsea Clinton has contacted Oxford University about possibly attending the school where her father studied politics as a Rhodes scholar.
The newspaper quoted an unnamed University source as saying: "She has been considering various options, and one of those options is Oxford.
"We haven't been told whether she is definitively coming in the autumn."
Rumours about Miss Clinton coming to Oxford University began in August but at that time senior staff denied that any application had been made.
Mr Clinton is due to return to the city on Friday to open the university's Rothermere American Institute.
Miss Clinton is scheduled to graduate with a pre-med degree from Stanford University next month.
